Toddler Schedule
Children may be enrolled in the Toddler Program for any 2, 3, 4, or 5 Full or Half Days per week.
Full Days in the Toddler Program are from 8:00am – 6:00pm daily. Drop-off hours are from 8:00am – 9:30am and pick-up hours are from 4:00pm – 5:45pm.
Half Day AM: Morning Session hours are from 8:00am – 12:30pm daily. Drop-off hours are from 8:00am – 9:30am and pick-up hours are from 12:15pm – 12:30pm.
Half Day PM: Afternoon Session hours are from 1:00pm – 6:00pm daily. Drop-off hours are at 1:00pm and pick-up hours are from 4:00pm – 5:45pm.
Toddler Caregivers
ABC’s Toddler Program allows for a maximum group size of 10 toddlers to be cared for at a given time, with a 5:1 (toddler:adult) ratio. This meets the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene regulations. Although, ABC makes every effort when possible to exceed the regulations by maintaining a 4:1 (toddler:adult) ratio.
Each toddler group is run by a Head Teacher and a Teacher’s Assistant, each with extensive experience and a passion for working with young children. Every teacher has a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or is in the process of obtaining such a degree. All ABC employees have met strict standards before hiring, including a thorough background check with the State Central Register Database, a criminal history review, and fingerprinting by the Department of Investigation. Also, every full-time employee of ABC is certified in Infant/Child first aid and CPR.
Licensing
ABC Child Center is fully licensed and approved by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Bureau of Child Care for 41 children between the ages of 0 to 24 months.
