Preschool Schedule
Children may be enrolled in the Preschool Program for any 2, 3, 4, or 5 Full or Half Days per week.
Full Days in the Preschool Program are from 8:00am – 6:00pm daily. Drop-off hours are from 8:00am – 9:30am and pick-up hours are from 4:00pm – 5:45pm.
Half Day AM: Morning Session hours are from 8:00am – 12:30pm daily. Drop-off hours are from 8:00am – 9:30am and pick-up is at 12:30pm.
Half Day PM: Afternoon Session hours are from 1:00pm – 6:00pm daily. Drop-off hours are at 1:00pm and pick-up hours are from 4:00pm – 5:45pm.
Drop-off Option
For children currently enrolled in one of ABC’s preschool programs, a Drop-off option is available on an as-needed basis on the days that your child is not registered. Drop-off’s are only possible on days that ABC still has space available and as a result, space for Drop-offs is not guaranteed. Parents are asked to notify ABC as soon as possible to make arrangements.
Preschool Caregivers
The Preschool Program is run by three New York State Certified Teachers, each of whom holds a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, or is in the process of completing such a degree along with their Teacher’s Certification. There is also a Teacher’s Assistant in every classroom each of whom has experience working with multiple young children at one time.
All ABC employees have met strict standards prior to hire, including a thorough background check with the State Central Register Database, a criminal history review and fingerprinting by the Department of Investigation. Also, every full-time employee of ABC is certified in Infant/Child First-Aid and CPR.
Licensing
ABC Child Center is fully licensed and approved by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Bureau of Child Care for 45 children between the ages of 2 to 5 years.
